Gimp 4: Motion Demo

Today I Learned... how to take a motion picture, leaving the background blurry and not the subject. To do so, you must move the camera as your subject goes by, at the same speed.

Photo Assignment 3: Nature

Assignment Description: My choice for week 3 was sort of last minute. The day I decided to take pictures was nice and sunny, so instead of motion, I chose nature. There were many flowers already blooming and I wamted to take advantage of the sunny day in Michigan.

Summary: I was at my brother-in-laws house, and noticed all the beautiful blooming flowers. I took many different pictures of them, and also tried to get some animals in there too, such as the bee, and the robins nest with eggs.

Gimp 3: Panoramic

Assignment Description: This was Gimp Assignment number 3. For this assignment we were told to take 3 pictures and try to use gimp to make it look as much as we could like a panoramic.

Assignment Description: This week I chose to do the animal assignment. This is where you catch an animal's character in the picture.

Summary: For my assignment I didn't want to do what everyone does when they choose animals,which is usually dogs and cats. I took photographs of horses,one of a dog, a turtle, and the challenge of capturing birds. I think my pictures for this week turned out great and are interesting.

Gimp 2: Car Retouch

Assignment Description: For this assignment we were given guidelines as to how a certain picture was edited. By following the guidelines, the object was to create the picture as close as possible to the demo edited version.

Photo Assignment 1: Macro

Assignment Description: Each week we are given a choice as to which assignment we would like to take on. For the first week, I decided to pick macro. Macro, is a type of subject where things are close up and depict things not usually seen at first glance.

Summary: For my macro assignment, I chose to mostly take pictures of plants. I also used Hershey kisses, a fish, and the moon. My idea was to show parts that many people don't notice. I believe my pictures turned out very presentable and definitely fulfilled my assignment expectations.

Gimp 1: Pop Art

Assignment Description: We were asked to take a picture of ourselves and follow some directions on how to edit it. We made the image sharper, black and white, the made 4 copies in different colors.

What I Learned: In this assignment i learned some different aspects of Gimp. You can use Gimp and completely change a photograph.
